New Land Boosts Outreach for Rockville-Tolland SDA Church

Rockville-Tolland SDA church members planted a garden on the 22 acres they recently purchased that produced this array of organic vegetables. This land also produced new opportunities to share God's Word. Scroll down for photos of their camporee on the same property.

As the Lord opened the Red Sea for the children of Israel and ordained for them to inhabit the land of Canaan, He arranged a way for Rockville-Tolland SDA (RTSDA) church to obtain more property.  Through a series of providential leadings, in 2025 RTSDA acquired 22 acres adjacent to the rear of their property.

Not only did God afford RTSDA this gift, He also ensured that a local, seasoned logger/forester---a non-SDA truth seeker---would be available to clear this acreage. By God's grace, this gentleman and his wife are now receiving Bible studies!

On a portion of the cleared land, RTSDA church members planted a fertile garden which yielded a supernatural amount of healthy, organic produce. They have also used part of the cleared land for a campground. RTSDA’s AY leader, Samantha Gayle, organized “Camp Rock Solid,” an unforgettably fun and spiritually focused youth camporee. It was the church's first attempt at camping, and despite the chilly nighttime temperatures, it was a success. This event brought out several families to experience nature in all its glory--midnight sound effects from owls and coyotes included!  The culmination of this activity was a Saturday night Fireside Social, which drew in participants from the community, as well as youth members from the Connecticut Valley SDA Church in South Windsor, CT.
