Sabbath School: Evangelism Wisdom from Adventist Educators

Here’s practical, Biblical wisdom on how to reach people for Christ, shared during Sabbath School in the main pavilion by South Lancaster Academy (SLA) principal, Ollyce Gardner, and SLA vice principal, Sharleen Ramos, who reach kids for Christ every day:

1.       Feed them.

2.       Allow them to talk.

3.       Be real with them.

4.       Pray for their specific needs.

5.       Ask them, “Would you like to take your relationship with God to the next step?”

Don’t rush this step, but don’t miss it.

Carlton Byrd’s Sabbath Morning Sermon: “Keep Dipping”

Southern New England Conference was pleased to ordain three pastors on Sabbath afternoon, acknowledging their spiritual leadership and asking God’s blessing on them and their families as they continue in pastoral ministry:

Jean Rene Cineus, pastor of the Beth-Union Haitian, Bethany Haitian, and Nouvelle Jerusalem (Springfield) SDA churches

Yeison Gonzalez Ortiz, pastor of the Wickford, Johnston, and Burrillville SDA churches

Abraham St. Croix, pastor of Nouvelle Arche and Jerusalem Haitian SDA churches.

Camp Winnekeag Reports a Miracle at Summer Camp: During summer camp, a camper from a non-Christian family wanted to give her life to Jesus and be baptized. “Just don’t tell my mom,” the camper pleaded.  The camp staff explained that she couldn’t be baptized without her parents’ permission.  When the staff contacted the mother, she agreed because she had seen an angel over the camp as she arrived. When the mother called the father to get his permission, he said, “I want to join my daughter,” and decided to be baptized, too.

Camp Winnekeag isn’t just a summer camp, it’s a 24/7 evangelistic series that lasts for seven weeks every summer. The staff says, “Pray for us!”

There’s still time to give for the building of the new Pathfinder Lodge.  Click here Camp Winnekeag to donate online.
