It is a thrill for my wife Audrey and me to join the wonderful Southern New England church family. For the past 10 years we have been serving on the other side of the world, in China. And, now we have seen clearly the hand of God leading us to this beautiful part of the country for the exact same purpose he also led us to Hong Kong and China – to lift up Jesus! (John 12:32)
It was in this neighborhood of states that God began His work to finish the work of reformation among His church and call to Himself a faithful remnant that would love Him above all else and demonstrate this by keeping all of His commandments. (Rev. 14:12) It is thrilling that you and I can work together, led and empowered by the Holy Spirit, to expand His Kingdom and complete this precious mission for which we have been called as a Church.
Your life and mine are not lived in an insular, perfect world. No. As your experience tells you, we face daily challenges, disappointments, and, at times intense pain. We are constantly distracted and harassed by that dangerous enemy that is Satan. We live in a real-life, real live-fire great controversy between Christ and Satan. And the only way for us to not be distracted by the adversary is to stay close to our Master and Savior Jesus every step of the way.
Our mission is certainly clear. The calling for each of us to join in accomplishing that mission is also clear. But most importantly, the strength and power to live for Him and fulfill our calling as a people is also clearly found in only one place – Jesus Christ. My prayer for you and me is that we will daily commit to walking closely with Jesus AND lifting Him up so that more New Englanders can call Jesus Master and Lord.

Es emocionante para mi esposa Audrey y para mí unirnos a la maravillosa familia de Dios aquí en el sur de Nueva Inglaterra. Durante los últimos 10 años, estuvimos en el país de la China, sirviendo desde ese lado del mundo. Fue en esta vecindad de estados que Dios comenzó Su obra para terminar la reforma de Su iglesia y llamar a Sí mismo un remanente fiel que lo amaría sobre todas las cosas y lo demostraría guardando todos Sus mandamientos. (Apoc. 14:12) Es emocionante que usted y yo podamos trabajar juntos, guiados y empoderados por el Espíritu Santo, para hacer crecer Su Reino y completar esta preciosa misión para la cual hemos sido llamados como Iglesia.
Tu vida y la mía no se viven en un mundo insular y perfecto. No. Personalmente, entiendo que enfrentamos desafíos diarios, decepciones y, en ocasiones, dolor intenso. Estamos constantemente distraídos y acosados por ese peligroso enemigo que es Satanás. Y la única manera de que el adversario no nos distraiga es permanecer cerca de nuestro Maestro y Salvador Jesús en cada paso del camino.
Nuestra misión es ciertamente clara. También es claro el llamado a cada uno de nosotros a sumarnos al cumplimiento de esa misión. Pero lo más importante, la fuerza y el poder para vivir para Él y cumplir con nuestro llamado como pueblo también se encuentran claramente en un solo lugar: Jesucristo. Mi oración por ti y por mí es que nos comprometamos diariamente a caminar cerca de Jesús Y a levantarlo altamente para que más habitantes de Nueva Inglaterra puedan llamar a Jesús Maestro y Señor.
