As 2025 draws to a close, we praise God for the youngest members of the Southern New England Conference who are growing strong in faith and in numbers! The Spring Escape Adventurer campout weekend drew a record 708 attendees, filling the Southern New England Conference (SNEC) campground with joy, worship and discovery.  Twelve SNEC Adventurer clubs advanced to the union-level Adventurer Bible Game, and four earned first place—a beautiful testimony of how God is working in the hearts of our children as they learn and love His Word. By God’s blessing, the number of Adventurer clubs has grown from 54 in 2024 to 67 in 2025.

New Adventurer Club Spotlight

One of SNEC’s newest Adventurer clubs, the Three Angels Messengers from Three Angels SDA church in Newington, Connecticut, launched on November 1, 2025, under the leadership of Anthony Cummings, with the whole-hearted support of parents and many church members.

Cummings, a Master Guide, previous Pathfinder director, and veteran Adventurer instructor, arrived at the Three Angels SDA church in 2024 with his family, looking for an Adventurer club for his son.  “There wasn't an active club, so I thought, we need to do something about this,” said Cummings. “We noticed that there were also other children around. Together we knew we could serve everybody's needs.”

Cummings sees Adventurers as an excellent way to minister to the community by inviting children and their parents to be part of the club. In fact, he and his mother’s journey to know God and join the Adventist church began when as a child he attended a religious gathering for kids, much like an Adventurer club.

The Three Angels Messengers launched their club with a very successful international food festival fundraising event. They plan to continue fundraising so they can offer a complete uniform to every child who wants to join, making Adventurers affordable for everyone.

The Three Angels Messengers Adventurer Club meets at 1:30 PM on the first and third Sabbath of every month at 580 Church Street in Newington, CT, and welcomes all 4 to 9-year-olds and their parents to join their club and learn and grow in Jesus.

If you would like more information on starting a club at your church, please contact SNEC’s Youth & Club Ministries director, Danny Velez at dvelez@sneconline.org.

We thank our churches and leaders for faithfully discipling their young people and partnering with God to nurture a new generation for His kingdom.
