Ernestine Finley Presents "Secrets to Wellness" and Successful Evangelism

At the Women’s Ministries meetings, Ernestine “Teenie” Finley presented health seminars from her book, Secrets to Wellness (available at the Adventist Book Center or click here to order online: Secrets to Wellness Magabook).  She shared the latest scientific discoveries that support the Adventist health message, including new evidence challenging the long‑held belief that Alzheimer’s disease cannot be reversed. As a seasoned discipler of God’s people, Teenie not only taught the secrets to wellness but also gave tips on how to teach these principles to others with a loving, positive, and sensitive approach. 

Guest speaker Mark Finley, retired as a pastor and lifelong, worldwide evangelist and equipper, still finds himself working full-time for God as assistant to the president of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.  He preached Tuesday’s sermon from the book of Revelation about the three . . . no, not the three angels’ messages of Revelation 12, but the three songs in Revelation 4, 5, and 7. These songs are designed to lift our spirits and keep our eyes on our precious salvation in Jesus. Pastor Mark Finley’s Wednesday Sermon: Have you ever heard, “You need to have an open mind”? Be careful here!  “I say, have an open mind to Christ, but closed to the devil,” Finley counseled. In this sermon he unpacked the story of Pontius Pilate in Luke 23, drawing Biblical wisdom about a serious issue sweeping through Christianity and the Adventist community that will make us unready to meet Jesus: the slippery slope of compromise.

Earliteens: David Bracetti, former SNEC pastor who now serves in the Florida Conference, preached an interactive sermon at the earliteen meeting, drawing young people into dialog about the three Hebrews who were thrown into the fiery furnace.

Polly Aho (left in left photo), Gardner SDA church member, teaches bookmarking, a ministry enjoyed by those making these Bible verse-inscribed bookmarks and a blessing to those who receive them.

The Camp Meeting snack bar, operated by the SLA senior class as a fundraiser, now serves vegan and other options on request. They serve with smiles and unselfish assistance even on a rainy day!
