The Canaan SDA church in northwestern Connecticut hosted its second annual International Food Festival on Sunday, November 10, drawing more than 15 non-member guests, including a Town of Canaan official. Members and guests enjoyed a sampling of traditional dishes from over 11 different countries, with church members from each of these countries representing their heritage. Some wore brightly colored traditional clothing and others wore t-shirts or sweatshirts with their country’s name and colors, and some sang a song from their country. The festival offered a wonderful opportunity for fellowship, cultural sharing, and community engagement. This yearly event continues to highlight the diversity and unity within the Canaan church family.
