South Lancaster Academy - Grade 2

The Southern New England Conference of SDA has an opening for a 2nd grade teacher at our largest school, South Lancaster Academy (SLA). The ideal candidate would join a team of experienced and dedicated teachers. SLA is in South Lancaster, MA, one of the centers of Adventist history. SLA has a long history of providing an excellent education and opportunities for their students to go above and beyond. South Lancaster Academy - Principal 

South Lancaster Academy (SLA) is looking for a principal for the 2024-2025 school year and beyond. SLA is a pre-school - grade 12 institution with an enrollment nearing 300 that has been providing Adventist Education in North Central Massachusetts since 1882.

The School Board is looking for a principal who will partner with the Southern New England Conference Education Department to create and implement a strategic plan to take advantage of the full growth potential for SLA.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Nurture a wholesome culture where students have freedom to explore and develop their personal walk with God.

  • Support the administrative team, teachers, and staff (30+) by building and leading a cohesive academic team.

  • Encourage excellence in all aspects of academics and extra-curricular activities, including but not limited to STEM, athletics, and fine arts.

  • Work with the Business Manager to ensure a strong financial program.

  • Communicate regularly with the local constituency and prospective donors.

Required Experience - Candidates must be committed baptized members of the Seventh-day Adventist church and a bachelor’s degree. 

An ideal Candidate will possess skills in the following areas:

  • Experience and/or knowledge of facility maintenance and management.

  • Commercial Driver’s License or willingness to obtain.

  • Experience in Instructional Coaching. SBL, DI, CM.

  • Required Education and / or Experience:

  • Master’s Degree with Administration certification preferred but not required. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in the Education arena with a proven track record of leadership.
