HOW WE SERVE: INSPIRING EXCELLENCE
The office of the Southern New England Conference Secretariat Department provides support in administration and church support. We are happy to support our churches in the following ways:
ADMINISTRATION:

The Executive Secretary is responsible for reviewing and proposing to the Conference Executive Committee the establishment and enhancement of local church organizations, encompassing branch Sabbath Schools, church plants, affiliate groups, companies, and churches. Countersigns documents, credentials, and licenses that require the Executive Secretary’s signature.

The Executive Secretariat supports the president in overseeing governance, office operations, and ministries' functions. It also ensures compliance with respective constitutions and bylaws. Also handles special projects/assignments as directed by the Southern New England President.

Issue and maintain records of employee's credentials and licenses.
CHURCH SUPPORT

Participation in pastor church growth initiatives, ordination, and installation services.

Provides oversight and support to pastors and laity in developing church plant initiatives and seminars.

Counsel and support to pastors and local church leadership on policy matters.

Empower church clerks with expert support in utilizing eAdventist and equip them with comprehensive training to enhance the skills of local area church clerks.

Supports the work of local church clerks concerning sabbath school and divine worship attendance, membership transfers, baptism, professions of faith, record keeping of board meetings, etc.

Maintains records of Southern New England Conference Constituency Sessions, Executive Committees, and all conference proceedings.

The Executive Secretariat oversees and consolidates statistical data pertaining to membership.

The secretary’s portfolio also includes supporting the Atlantic Union Conference ADSIL, Hispanic & Portuguese Ministry, Child Protection Services, Children Ministries, Religious Liberty, Young Adults & Youth Sabbath School ministries, youth & Clubs Ministries, Ministerios de Damas, and Women Ministry.
