The National Service Organization, NSO, is part of the North American Division Chaplaincy office of the Seventh-day Adventist church [(301) 680-6780] and exists to support and provide resources to Seventh-day Adventist men and women serving the United States in the military.
We understand that . . . In the United States it is the law that all males must register with the Selective Service System upon turning eighteen years of age.
Follow this link for more information.

However, we also acknowledge that registering and enlisting are two very different actions.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church does have an official position in regards to serving in the military.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church advocates that members serve in the military as non-combatants, but accepts those who elect to serve in other capacities or not to serve at all--according to the conscience of the individual member.

If you, or anyone you know of, is from Massachusetts, Connecticutt, or Rhode Island (the states in the territory of the Southern New England Conference) and they are seeking information or assistance, please contact the Southern New England Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Youth Department at (978) 365-4551 ext. 20 for more information.
We would be happy to send you a kit with information to help you decide if a military career is for you or if you are already are enlisted and would like information on how to be an Adventist in the US military.
